Dr. Vicky Manikas - PhD

Vicky is a registered Psychologist and Member of the Australian Psychological Society. Vicky brings to her practice a broad range of experience, including assessment, therapy and psychological research skills.

 

Vicky is experienced in working with adults, adolescents and children. She employs an evidence based approach to her clinical practice, using cognitive behavioural therapy to structure practical and individualised treatment plans for each client. Treatment approaches vary from client to client, with techniques and tools often utilised from Cognitive & Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical & Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Mindfulness and Relaxation Therapy.

 

Vicky has a special interest in the treatment of depression, anxiety and stress related problems, as well as work related difficulties and relationship/family issues. Vicky's interests have also extended into antenatal and postnatal therapy, focusing specifically on helping new parents in their journey through fertililty, pregnancy and parenthood.
